Robert Vasen Endowment for Youth at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue
In 2008, we partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue to help create the Be Great:Graduate program. In that time, it has helped thousands of local teens improve their academics and graduate from high school, with a 100% graduation rate. This local program even became a model for the nation and was recognized by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
When we started to see the impact this was having, we set a goal of being able to fund this program - forever. And just recently, we hit our goal of raising $1 million, which will allow us to create a permanent endowment to fund Be Great:Graduate in perpetuity. You can read more in the press release.

Service to Youth Award

The Robert Vasen Foundation was awarded the 2015 Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s “Service to Youth Award” at a ceremony held on May 2nd, in Bellevue, WA The award was presented by Kathy Haggart, CEO of the B&GC of Bellevue, in recognition of "the impact RVF's support has had in creating the now wildly successful BE GREAT: Graduate, program." This is a wonderful tribute to the many volunteers and contributors who have made this possible.
Jubilee Reach ATTY Awards

At the annual Jubilee Reach ATTY Awards Ceremony, attended by more than 700 students, parents, volunteers and school district staff, "Robert's Story" was told. The impact of Robert's Life lives on. The new "Robert Vasen Foundation ATTY Award for character and concern for others" was presented to a young student.
Swim for Rob

The 7th annual Swim for Rob! was held on August 10. Participants swam 1.5K in Lake Washington, each raising a minimum of $100 for the Foundation. The swim was followed with a BBQ on Beaux Arts beach. All of the proceeds from this event will go towards supporting youth in the Bellevue & Seattle area. Thank you to everyone who was able to join us again this year.
Volunteer Day at Boys and Girls Club

We had a group of people that spent 3 hours working on the grounds- B&G Club was very appreciative. It was a great morning of working together with one of our favorite Partner Programs. We mowed the lawn, weeded the grounds, power washed the front entry, washed their vans and fixed up the outdoor backetball court. It just reminds us that even the small things can make a big difference. Thank you to everyone for contributing your time and energy to this fun event.
